Now that is what I am talking about, sweet and sour pork with a beer, you can never go wrong there!

Sweet And Sour Pork With A Beer

I absolutely love pork, smoked, baked, or fried, you can even barbecue it on some charcoal.

Sweet and sour pork with a beer is one of my favorites!

So that is some nice #foodporn right there my friends. You got to get you some!

And pork is a rich source of many vitamins and minerals, including:

Thiamine – Unlike other types of red meat, such as beef and lamb, pork is particularly rich in thiamine — one of the B vitamins that plays an essential role in various bodily functions.

Selenium – Pork is rich in selenium. The best sources of this essential mineral are animal-derived foods, such as meat, seafood, eggs, and dairy products.

Zinc – An important mineral, abundant in pork, zinc is essential for a healthy brain and immune system.

Vitamin B12 – Almost exclusively found in foods of animal origin, vitamin B12 is important for blood formation and brain function. Deficiency in this vitamin may cause anemia and damage to neurons.

Vitamin B6 – A group of several related vitamins, vitamin B6 is important for the formation of red blood cells.

Niacin – One of the B vitamins, niacin — or vitamin B3 — serves a variety of functions in your body and is important for growth and metabolism.

Phosphorus – Abundant and common in most foods, phosphorus is usually a large component of people’s diets. It’s essential for body growth and maintenance.

Iron – Pork contains less iron than lamb or beef. However, the absorption of meat iron (heme-iron) from your digestive tract is very efficient, and pork can be considered an outstanding source of iron.

Pork contains good amounts of many other vitamins and minerals.

I love cooking pork for family parties and always use the homemade smoker we made. Pork butts come out so tender and juicy! My son Josh always helps me cook. He loves barbecuing and smoking meats as much as I do.

This is my son Josh with our homemade smoker

This smoker was made by my step father who is my hero, I helped a little, well mostly watched him make it, I am not a welder, had the idea and he brought it to fruition.

Here is my Dad welding on it.

My step Dad Dennis is such an amazing man, and love him dearly, he truly is my Dad and my hero!

Now if you do not have a whooper talented Dad like I do who can make you a smoker, you could always buy one.

This is a really great smoker, my good friend George who lives down the street from me just bought this one after eating smoked meat from my homemade one.

He and his family absolutely love it so far, they been smoking meat on it almost two weeks straight now. I was just at his house and had a couple beers with him, he was smoking some pork ribs on it, they looked delicious!

I took a quick picture for you all.

You know what they say, once you smoke meat, you will never go back!

It truly becomes an addiction.
