I was having a conversation with a business friend of mine yesterday, and he asked me what the easiest products to sell online for me was during the pandemic, as we were chatting about the crazy year 2020 was and 2021 have been so far.
As business owners who both have e-commerce businesses, we were talking about the massive growth in e-commerce over this last year (due to the pandemic and other tragic events).
People are shopping online more than ever before.
Everyone knows this, but it can be hard to grasp just how “huge” online shopping and retail products are.
Right now as I sit in my office writing this, as I quickly skim around the room…
I see headphones, water bottles, a screen wipe, a iPhone, sticky notes, a pen, a journal, a desk, a drawer, a tv, books, a file cabinet… and the list goes on.
These are “normal, every day boring” physical products that are being sold by the truckloads each and every day…
Most items are being sold online by people just like you and me.
I mean look around your home or office and take a look around at how many physical products are actually in your home.
I bet you’ll be surprised by the sheer number of “things” you buy, and have bought online.
Well – you’re obviously not alone.
I know my wife has completely changed her shopping habits, she use to go directly to the stores shopping before the pandemic, and now 75% of her purchases are all online. It was the opposite before the pandemic.
And she loves it, because everything is delivered to our door, no more waiting in lines, dealing with rude people, carrying stuff in and out of her car.
Between me and you, I think she is kinda addicted to it..lol 🙂 She told me it kinda feels like she is getting presents delivered to her.
The ocean of opportunity in e-commerce is massive.
There are basically two types of products most entrepreneurs and businesses sell online.
1. Digital products – meaning they are delivered digitally online in some way after purchase, such as informational products, ebooks, coaching programs, software, etc.
2. Physical products – meaning they are shipped to your home after purchase.
And selling physical products online is a way easier business model than anything else.
Here’s why:
Most physical products are “magic buttons, feel good items”. People buy WAY more then they need, I know my wife does. 🙂
Unlike information products, coaching programs or other digital products where the PERSON who buys them has a success/failure ratio (their effort/commitment is a necessary prerequisite for success).
And one of the hardest things to do in marketing or sales is to convince a person that the solution you’re selling will work *for them*.
But with physical products?
All the burden is ON THE PRODUCT (not on the customer).
Now just to clarify – I’m not talking about complex products like cars or machines.
But simple “every day” boring items.
Like for instance, this last week I ordered a screen & device cleaner for my electronic devices.
Every few days, my laptop or phone screen would have dust or fingerprint smudges all over it.
So I apply this spray, and use the wiping cloth I purchased – and my laptop and phone screen look crystal clear.
A simple problem (a dirty laptop screen), and a simple solution (a screen cleaner spray & wipes).
Now think about this.
I could (personally) have a bad day, or a great day – but the “results” I can get from this product are definite and certain.
Because the product is the “magic bullet” which delivers a solution. It has nothing to do with the user.
With information products, coaching programs or digital products of any kind – your customer has to transform and change themselves or get some kind of feel good results. If they do not, they simply will not buy again.
But with physical products, the solutions are “easy wins” that require little to no effort from the user. Take the screen cleaner spray & wipes as an example, the products worked so I will buy them again without question.
That means physical products are INFINITELY easier to sell.
(and say yes to for anyone).
As long as you have the problem, and you want a solution – you’ll make a purchase without batting an eye.
And – the RESULTS from the product are instantaneous.
Hence you can sell tens, hundreds, or even thousands of units per day of physical products consistently and solve tangible “real world” problems.
The truth is – there are MILLIONS of products like these that people buy every day (just look around for products you’re currently using around your kitchen or bedroom today…)
Selling physical products online today has become way easier.
The problems use to be:
1. You had to spend thousands of dollars in inventory upfront “hoping” the product will sell.
2. Or you have to deal with the hassles of overseas suppliers, language barriers and shipping or logistical issues.
4. Drop shipping from China using sites like Ali express. Unreliable suppliers, 4-5 week-long shipping times, no tracking information, pissed off customers, charge back issues… and the list goes on and on.
All these hassles are no longer an issue, when you do it the right way, and connect with the right companies.
Create a successful dropshipping business online.
If you’re anything like me, you just want access to products that are highly profitable which you don’t have to touch the inventory or deal with shipping.
The solution to this is to use Reliable US, EU and Global suppliers with fast shipping on high quality winning products, who you pay only AFTER you’ve collected money from the customer.
And yes – these do exist.
These suppliers (if you know how to find them) will even automate the fulfillment for you so you don’t have to worry about tracking or any other logistics.
So you can just focus on making sales.
You collect money upfront, pay them and keep the difference (which is typically 20-50% of the sale).
No need to buy any inventory upfront, or deal with the shipping nightmares of the past.
But finding these excellent suppliers is not easy to find on ones own, because there is a sea of them to choose from.
So I am going to give to you my best 2 extremely trusted dropshipping platform choices, so you do not have to spend hours researching trying to find the best ones.

In conclusion.
Making sales online once you are up and running can be very addictive and fun, it never gets boring. You would figure after 18 years of being an online marketer it would get old, but it never does. Being your own boss is what makes it so exciting, as their are no limits accept the ones we impose up ourselves.

Physical products are the best and easiest products to sell online, and dropshipping is the perfect business model to help you get into the game. Your sales will not magically start coming in over night, it will take some money, time and effort on your part.
